Beaches

Our beaches are quiet, clean and sandy, and ten minutes from the door. Pentrez, Lestrevet, Sainte-Anne-la-Palud and Pors-ar-Vag are backed by dunes and cliff paths and never feel crowded, even in August.

They're good for swimming, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing, sand-yachting, snorkelling, or simply building sandcastles. Most of the coast between them is rugged, unspoilt cliff path, which makes for brilliant family walks and very happy dogs.

Our favourites

Cameros and Trez Bihan. You can only reach them from mid to low tide, and they're absolutely gorgeous.

With a dog

The closest dog-friendly beaches are Tréguer and Kervijen. Tréguer has a big stretch of dunes behind it, which dogs love.

Watersports

Surfboards, kayaks and wetsuits are for hire at Pors-ar-Vag (Club Nautique de Plomodiern), and you can book surf lessons, kitesurfing and sand-yachting locally. For bigger waves, La Torche, Brittany's surf capital, is 40 minutes away and gets waves when nowhere else does; or head west to the wild beaches of Lostmarc'h and La Palue on the Crozon peninsula.

We lend beach towels for your days by the sea.
